Suva Hotel and Vacation Guide
Suva is the capital city of Fiji Islands and is a busy and vibrant centre for business, government, banking and entertainment. It has some interesting sights for visitors to explore such as the Fiji Museum, the colourful central produce market, and shopping. However, it is not seen as a main tourist destination as although it is interesting to visit and spend a day or so, it offers little in the way of beaches for longer term holidays.
Travellers going to Suva on vacation will find a range of accommodation options as there are some smaller budget hotels, as well as larger hotels for leisure and business travellers, self-catering apartments and, just outside of Suva, there is the Raintree Lodge.

The Raintree has a rainforest setting, as its name implies, adjacent to the Colo-i-Suva Forest Park. It is a good spot to get away from the busy CBD, relax in a tranquil setting. Hiking, birdwatching and fishing is possible in the adjacent park. Other places of interest in Suva include the University of South Pacific campus grounds, Suva Point esplanade popular with daily walkers and joggers, and Stinson Parade, which offers great views across Suva Harbour looking north towards Lami. Golf may be enjoyed at the Suva Golf Course, found on the eastern side of Suva. Vijay Singh, Fiji's famous golfing hero, played this course in the early years of his golfing career.
